MESSY LOVE / WAIT BRIEF

Hi! Firstly, thank you for taking the time to listen to and think about my music. 

​

So I am looking for videos for these two tracks:

There's no need to be too literal, the videos don't need to tie in with the lyrics too closely. It would be more about expressing a mood and reflecting the overall creative/themes of the album. 

​

The album is called 'And Then Life Was Beautiful' and the musical themes are 

​

- Moving past darkness into light

- Slowing down, taking things in 

- Learning, growing, self-acceptance 

- The joy of new life and love

​

The visual themes are: 

​

- Nature (the cycles of life, looking up from the screen, feeling at one with the earth, flowers and plants, gradient skies)

- Goddess vibes, celebrating women and empowerment

- Yellow (optimism, enlightenment, a new dawn)

- Hyper reality (the world appearing brighter & more vivid, bordering on surreal/modernist - see sunflowers coming out of water as an example)

For Messy Love and Wait I would like to explore a Solange-style world, less narrative and story based, more mood/visual/aesthetic, across two videos. So Solange meets otherworldly and cool, reflecting the photos taken by Lillie Eiger (see below for slow mo videos taken on set) and the artwork by Tishk Barzani (see below also). I do think the sunflowers are now a key element and the water/reflections works really well to express a lot of what I'm trying to say. Other than that, there is a lot of scope to be creative so I look forward to hearing your ideas!
